MOBILE PHONE ORCHESTRA
Linds Mobile Phone Orchestra (MPO) is a participatory performance platform for electronic polyphonic contemporary art music. The MPO concept is designed to embrace people regardless their musical backgrounds as performers, but still with an aim to generate expressive and meaningful artistic expressions for participatory performances. The artistic idea is to think of the MPO as an individual instrument group performing electronic preprocessed sounds, both as a standalone orchestra as well as an electronic orchestra extending the traditional symphony/chamber orchestra/ensemble/soloist. Several compositions for different settings have been performed in concert hall settings since the initial development process began in 2016. Currently, Lind is working with the MPO concept in a 3-year project together with Norrlandsoperan (opera house) in Sweden.
